Recently, NASA has spotted a new planet with its planet-seeking telescope, Kepler. The planet is named Kepler-452b after the telescope that spotted it. Kepler-452b is 1,400 light years away. The funny thing is that this planet looks a little bit like Earth and has a few similar features. The planet rotates in a 385-day orbit (a little bit like Earth's amount) around its parent star Kepler-452. Kepler, the telescope that spotted this new planet, was launched in 2009 and has found many planets, but none so similar to Earth. Another interesting fact is that Kepler-452b is habitable. Kepler-452b is also the most similar planet to Earth that NASA has found so far. Since Kepler-452b cannot be visited, NASA hopes to find more planets like this one and if it's possible, even visit one.
